Hello. I previously owned a PayPal account registered to my credit card. I noticed that I never really used it so I just closed it. Now, I want to start using PayPal. When I go to register and I enter in my credit card info (same card as the closed account) it prompts me with the following message:

Before you can add this credit card to another account, you must contact the PayPal Credit Card Team at cardproblems@paypal.com. A customer service representative will respond to your request shortly. If you would rather add a different credit card to your PayPal account, you may do so at any time. Thank you for your cooperation.

Can anybody help me? I contacted CARDPROBLEMS@PAYPAL.COM but all they did was send me a link that directs me back to the home page of PayPal. Now that is bad customer service. Basically, I guess you can say I want to register this credit card on another account. My previous account has been CLOSED so I can't exactly remove it from that. Please help. The PayPal customer service via E-Mail was uncooperative and lazy.
